[RC] arabs NOT going to auction - Scottsville - steelsidedown

A friend that lives in the area stopped by to check this out for me. She spoke to Wes. These horses are NOT going to auction. He advises this is FALSE information. They only had one horse for sale to show her, a NSH.

Hi-at the PRA meeting last night, a member told us
about an Arabian
farm in Scottsville, Va. being sold, the owner has
moved & has left 9
nicely bred young Arabians there. Instead of
advertising them,
they're going straight to the Front Royal auction this
Sat., Mar. 4.
According to Nan, the owner would take almost any
offer for the
horses. We decided to send this info to PRA members
because someone
may know someone looking for an Arab and
unfortunately, many horses
are bought for meat at these auctions. In the USDA
report last
month, "loose" horses (those not of serviceable age
for riding & sold
for meat) sold at prices starting at $390 at the
nearby Marshall
auction. Here is Nan's emailed message about these
Arabs:

here is the information I have;

Contact Wes Bowen at Hidden Hills Arabians
434-981-2634

for information on these horses, available BEST OFFER.
They are going to the sale in Front Royal on this
Saturday. All are
purebred registered Arabs, most Sweepstakes nominated.
Mostly young
ones, fillies, 2 geldings, one colt. All are halter
broke and lead,
used tostalls though turned out daily. Seemed very
gentle when I
walked out inthe field with them. They came up to us
and let us pet
them so have beenhandled.Nan
