Hey Angie,

This is not totally accurate.  I don't usually email ridecamp, heck I hardly 
even have time to read it, but I have to if my name and stirrups are used in 
vain!~
First, it is DISBROW - just one R.  And my foot did NOT go thru the stirrup. 
 Safety stirrups would not have helped.  It was just one of those freak 
things.  Since the horse fell on her right side, she was on my right leg so 
I could not jump up.  Then she jumped up, but my LEFT foot was still in the 
stirrup, but I was on her right side.  It just wedged my foot between the 
stirrup and the saddle just so, and off we went!!  Over the river and thru 
the woods, with Kara on her head.  Pretty lucky all I got was a separated 
shoulder and a black eye.  And I *did* finish the ride!  Getting busted up 
really did hurt my placing tho, dang it!

We thought Kara Drisbow's time was up at Biltmore this year. Her horse
fell on its side with her, then when it jumped up she found that her foot
on the *top* side had slipped thorugh the stirrup. The horse bolted
through the woods. She had on a paddock boot with half chap on top.
Fortunately, her boot came off (miracle) and she came loose. I guess her
time up but, faulty paddock boots didn't stay on so her time suddenly
*wasn't* up? :-)
