"It depends upon the condition of your horse's hooves. For example, are they
black and hard, white and soft,".............................



I thought the prevalent "equine experts" --know that there is no difference in hardness of white or black hooves. Only the outer layer of the hoof has the color and all the research on this the last couple years says there is NO differnce in hardness related to color only. The Pink skin on white legs above white hooves is more prone to more sundamage/burn like pink skin.
We just can see more pits and cracks on white feet,if you look closely the balck feet or striped have pits and cracks too.......................
