I've never seen a three-year-old running a downhill race at the same time as an adult. Have you?

Possibly that's because downhill races are run one skier at a time. NASTAR racing is available at most of the big ski resorts. A resort will set up ONE course on a race day. Everyone skis it. The youngest age group in NASTAR is 1-4 years old.

So... even if you are absolutely right about the need for a minimum age in Endurance, skiing is not the sport you want to cite about little kids racing on the same course as adults. <kind>

BTW... if we are going to consider ALL other non-professional sport venues, might as well throw in NASTAR with their 1 yr old minimum age.
