[RC] Age of horse and first 100 ride - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

Dodie,

I don't think 15 is too old for a horse at all. In fact, Shaba
and I are going to sign up for at least one 100 this year and he
is 17.  I think that it is very dependent upon the horse itself;
some will be able to stay in endurance longer than others, while
some will need to retire earlier. From your description, sounds
like your older horse will be fine, especially if you are not
going any faster than middle of the pack. The true test will be
to go out and TRY it. Good luck to you! Keep us posted on your
horses' progress (:)>

Lauretta and Shaba (who thinks age isn't a number but an attitude
and, based on this rule, will always be a yearling)
