[RC] Presidents Cup - Steph TeeterI've updated a page with some photos - last night's desert party, and today's veterinary inspection : http://www.endurance.net/international/2006presidentscup/ It's 10:30, very quite at the village, a few grooms sleeping in the crewing areas, mostly deserted (so to speak) though. Madiya had a nice dinner over at her crewing stall - 20 or so folks from different stables, friends, helpers. Very nice and friendly - good food. Off to bed soon - will meet the Kanavy group at their barn at 5:15 - and head out on the trail in front of the riders. Another UAE desert ride. It's supposed to be wicked hot tomorrow - mid 90's. Today was so hot the horses were sweating just standing around in the vetting area. Will be very tough I think. There's all this talk of 'breaking a new world record' ... but I think tomorrow it's going to be about care and caution, not about speed. I'll try to post some stuff during the day, but will most likely have to wait until it's over before I can get to the press room. off to bed!
