RE: [RC] [RC] bells and squeeky saddles - Diana Peterson

Jonni is right ....baby powder works GREAT.

I also ride with a bell.... my horse and i love it. I use a bear bell...bought from REI. And i made my own Rhythm bell necklace.

Jonni how was the Frigit Digit ? I fell off my horse and could not ride...dang... lol

rude replys. Ah, I knew I wasn't the only one who uses baby powder!<<<

Really! This was on my custom made western show saddle. (boy, those days are
long past) and it was the saddle maker that suggested it. Powder the saddle,
then just clean off the excess powder that gets on the "outside". You just
want it to work down in to the tree area etc. where leather against the
tree, or leather to leather rubs....and squeaks. Maybe your gaited list
readers just need to find a smoother horse so their saddles don't squeak.
Just kidding folks! LOL
