[RC] First Completion Thank You - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Carey Brock cbrock@xxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Ffarza and I achieved our first LD completion at the Shine & Shine ride this weekend. I would like to thank Becky Hart for putting on such a wonderful ride. I also want to thank Nancy Elliot, head vet, and the army of volunteers it takes to put on this event. The ride was a lovely combination of hills mixed with long, gentle uphills and downhills. The trails were very well marked - I get lost in my own backyard, so when even I can follow along it is testament to well marked trails! I especially liked the fact that Becky considers the 25 mile LD to be a training ride. As such, she drew numbers for LDers that would be judged for Best Condition. Ffarza won that. However, if we are not drawn next time, I appreciate the fact that all LDers are counseled against racing. I enjoyed the ride immensely and have already spoken to all of my friends about what a wonderful time I had. This is a big, heartfelt thanks to all of those folks who worked so hard on this event.
