[RC] LD Completion Times - cynthia hamberg

Richard Sacks of Equipedic stated: Not some ride managers posting completion
times and some not. =
Also not some ride managers posting the completions in alphabetical =
order and some posting in completion order. The minute they are posted =
in order of completion a placing is created and the AERC rules or =
definitions apply.
I would like to make a possible correction to the wording of this...If a ride
manager lists only "completion"
for the rider, a placing is NOT assigned. The AERC does not even list the
entrants/
riders in the order in which the manager sent them in!!! Because I ran a Nov.
26, 2005
ride with over 125 entries, AND because the AERC required all ride results to
be
back to the office by December 1, 2005 (basically 4 days later...), I only
listed the
top 10 times (P & R) for my LDs. We did give out a BC to the LD riders. All
other LD riders
received a "completion," with no respect to order of finish by the AERC, since
I did not
have ample time to review vet cards, and get the P & R times recorded...I have
asked the AERC
to give an extension to those of us who put on rides the last weekend of
November (all
other rides have 14 days to report, and are only penalized after 30 days). If
you all at RC
can help those of us with larger, year-end rides to change that statute, that
would be
absolutely wonderful.
Take Care,
Dr. Cynthia Hamberg (PS)
