They have too much free time and get "bored" and that a hard days work and being held responsible for things would fix alot of the trouble. I think she is right to some degree, but there seems to be an ailment in our society that goes deeper. I wish I could meet those kids and look in their eyes and ask them why and ask them what they need, what they lack...I do not think it is material things certainly!! I think those boys should be made to work on a horse farm or livestock farm as part of their punishment. Let them see and realize how much people love their animals and what goes into taking care of the life they so wantonly destroyed. They should also have to look the people who owned those horses in the face and apologize so they can see what their actions did firsthand. But it is hard to know what to do with them and probably they will get a slap on the wrist and then it and they will be forgotten.
