Re: [RC] solar chargers - Sisu West Ranch

This gets back to best practices for using a battery to power an RV

1. Do not use your tow vehicle battery. It is not a deep cycle battery.
2. Make sure that the vehicle charging system is disconnected from the RV battery when the truck is shut off or is being started. This requires either a relay, or a battery isolator (a couple of diodes) installed under the truck hood.
3. Shut off all charging stuff for RV before plugging the RV into the truck.
