RE: [RC] Eliminating the risk of pregnancy in mares - D'Arcy Demianoff-ThompsonWhen I was at the track in Delaware two months ago a filly was rejected from the gate because she was not. I asked what that was all about to someone next to me in the Club House and he said, "race track owners don't want the liability - this way the liability is on the horse owner and/or trainer!" I have not raced my filly yet only, Unanimous Vote, a stud. So, it is something that I will be asking Lynn Ashby, my race trainer, when my filly, Ocala Lilly goes to Delaware. Just imagine how ballistic you would be knowing that some of the trainers use "super glue" instead of stitches! Yep, that is what the guy said to me.
