[RC] Cheaper way to be warned of low tire pressure. - Sisu West Ranch

Looking up the URL's for the LED sites led me to find that one has a new product:
http://store.vehiclelight.com/airalert.html
LED Tire Alert Pressure Indicator
a.. Save lives while putting $$ back in your pocket
b.. When tire pressure drops 2.96 psi you lose 4 cents a gallon on gas. (based on fuel efficency of 20mpg and gas cost of $2.00)
c.. The VECSAFE Valve Cap is self-calibrating. When the cap is mounted on the valve stem the first time, it will memorize that tire pressure.
d.. The VECSAFE Valve Cap can be calibrated to any tire pressure between 20 and 120 psi
e.. The VECSAFE Valve Cap can be set to recognize a drop in pressure as little as 4 psi
f.. It can be checked for functionality and battery condition by simply unscrewing the cap. If it is in working condition, it will immediately start blinking.
g.. After 2 to 3 years of standby time, the VECSAFE Valve Cap can still blink about up to 3 weeks
h.. Heavy Duty brass chrome plated, Size 1" X 1/2", Weight 0.3 OZ
i.. Price is per individual LED Tire Alert

1234$4.99

Note that while this is not as convenient as the expensive radio warning system that was mentioned a month or so ago, they would allow easier checking of tire pressure each trip and when stopping. One could fit out a whole dually rig for $50.
