[RC] Choosing boots - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

My farrier was here to day and I spoke with him about shoes (I nearly gasped
out loud at the cost of 4 shoes) vs. boots. We discussed the pros and cons for
me and my horse and I have decided to go with boots. Now the problem is -
which boots. . .

I don't really care at this point whether or not there are points lost for
having a boot over the coronet. I just want whichever boot is going to be the
most user friendly, comfortable for my horse, durable etc. I want them to be
the best boot for money. (I was looking at one pair of boots at $350/pr!!! Who
has that kind of money!!!) The one I am initially leaning towards are Old Macs.

I am quite sure that there are lots of people on this forum who have had a lot
of boot experiences, both good and bad, and I am hoping to tap into that wealth
of information. I asked this question on another endurance forum and was
directed to this site by somebody there.

Thanks, in advance,
Nicola
