RE: [RC] Bandos - heidiOK, I am curious. Heidi posted about Bandos being a grey, and listed when he was imported. All the photos of Wendell on his horse, I don't ever remember a grey. Any change that his Bandos was a different Bandos than the stallion. Because Bandos the grey stallion was the chief herd sire in Poland for 17 years (per on line info I found). Is this really THE same horse Wendell rode? Different Bandos. You are talking about "Bandos PASB, who had his registry of origin added to his name at importation to distinguish him from the Bandos that had already been registered here. The latter is the one that Wendell Robie rode. He was NOT imported, but was born here--the importations I listed were his parents. Wendell certainly rode other horses later--but yes indeed, his stallion Bandos was a grey.
