[RC] Experiences with the "Safety Pen" by Custom Iron Workers, Inc? - Sharon Levasseur

Hi all,

Zephyr is **finally** sound again so I'm looking forward to a great ride season!

This year I have a new-to-me 16' GN stock trailer for which I was going to just
buy a Hi Tie because he did so well with the one I had on my last trailer. But
when I got to thinking about it I realized that both the access door and the
spare tire are on the right side. I don't want to put the Hi Tie on the same
side as the tire, but I do want it on the same side as the access door (where
I'll store tack). Sure, I could just have the shop move the spare tire mount,
but instead I thought I'd take the opportunity to look into the possibility of
a larger enclosure. I've decided that the typical electric pen isn't for us...
nor is a panel-type corral.

I got excited when I saw this one. http://www.ciwtrailers.com/safetypen.htm
Has anyone used one? Seen one at a ride? Heard anything good or bad about
them? Seen anything similar but less expensive? (I know I'm grasping at
straws here but I AM a cheapskate... ahem, bargain hunter... at heart!)

Thanks!
Sharon L. & Zephyr
