FW: [RC] Shoers- Do you tip or gift??? - Curtis, Laura \(LauraCurtis\)

Well, you're talking to someone who's never even thought of doing this and never has, so what do I know?  I only have one horse, too!  OK, maybe I should've said $25/horse up to $100.
But seriously, I think Christmas has gotten way out of hand.  How many of us can afford to find gifts for our own
family, much less the horse shoer, the owner of the boarding stable, the trash man, our hair stylist, the pool guy,
the gardener, the housekeeper, and on and on and on.  (I don't have a gardener, a trash man, a gardener, or a
pool guy, but you get my drift.)  Don't we already pay all of these people very well for their services?
(Don't yell at me, you guys!  I am not saying don't do it if you want to and can afford to.)

$25/horse? Holy cow. Our farrier loves us to start with, since we have 8 horses or so, and shoe regularly. But at $25/horse * 8 horses, that would be $200!

Seriously, he is on our Christmas list, and we usually get him a nice gift basket, or if we've been somewhere neat recently, we pick him up something.
