Re: [RC] newbie wants to know...... - M Paul LatiolaisMy criteria in DECREASING order of importance:1) Comfortable for the horse (i.e. It fits!) 2) comfortable for the rider 3) Light in weight (given the two criteria above) And, as Laney points out, budget is always part of the formula. BUT 1) and 2) can be done reasonably cheaply, but when you start thinking about adding 3) it can start getting pricey. My Synergist is a bit heavier than I would like, but it satisfies 1) and 2), so I am NOT switching (Although if I was independently wealthy I might try one of those Gaston Mercier's). Also, my Synergist has a short horn, because I use a horn a lot. Other people find horns get in their way. -Paul =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
