Re: [RC] shortbed vs long bed - Rebecca Fabiszak

My brother-in-law just had a near fatal wreck hauling with his short bed. Granted, his toy hauler was too long and too heavy for the truck but the short wheel base added to the wreck. I would not waste my money on a short bed, personally. I was told that when you hit the brakes, the trailer braking can lift the bed of the truck off of the ground thereby losing all of your traction in the rear. Don't know how true this is but it was mentioned to me. If you need the extra bed length, you've got it. Hard to add it if you need it. Beccy in Ut.

I remember reading a bit about this discussion but don't know what the final result was. I am looking for a used truck and have found an F250 10 cylinder shortbed. Nice interior. Can I use this to haul a gooseneck?

Thanks!
Patty
