[RC] Is this being cheap or smart?? - Spottedracer

Here's a list of some examples - are these consumers being cheap or smart??

- A name-brand prescription costs $1200 for 100 pills in the US - but $600 in CA. A US consumer chooses to Purchase same name-brand prescription from a CA pharmacy. **Cheap or Smart??

- A man is shopping for a fully loaded 2006 Dually (Ford/GMC/Dodge).... One dealer is offfering truck for $10,000 less than another dealer with the same, exact truck. Buyer chooses the cheaper truck. **Cheap or Smart??

- An AERC rider on his/her way to a ride which is a long distance from home. Pulls into an interstate exit. There are two truck stops offering same brand of diesel. One is $.20 cheaper per gallon than the other. She/He continually chooses the cheaper fuel at EVERY truck stop - ended up saving $200 on fuel during the ENTIRE trip. **Cheap or Smart??

- a purina dealer in town is advertising a sale on a premium horse feed. A horseowner generally purchases this identical feed at a different dealer in the same town. This owner decides to purchase the feed at the dealer offering the sale instead. ***Cheap or Smart??

I can offer more-and-more examples.... So can most of you!  Yes, there are people who will ALWAYS choose to purchase products from CERTAIN places at higher prices - just so they can say 'I got MINE here/there!'...... There are many more people who will ALWAYS purchase the SAME products from whatever seller who gives them the best deal on that product... Are these people just cheapskates?  Or are they just Smart with their money - so they have more to spend on other things?
- LP (who is PROUD to be a smart 'cheapskate'!!!!)
