Re: [RC] Pain and stiffness after a 50, a given? - Truman Prevatt

My legs were never stiff when I was riding my walking horse mare - be it 25, 50 or 100 miles. I am more beat up riding my Arab 50 miles than I was my walker 100 miles. I never had to worry about crawling out of the truck on Sunday morning while riding the mare. With the Arab - ho boy don't expect me to move very fast.

I guess after my Arab retires - I know what I'm going to get ;-) .

AH!!!! Thanks Angie, I can relate to that from sports.
"No pain, no gain", and "Hurts so good" were common
themes in the 80's, and we chanted them as we crawled
up stairs on hands and knees after the first couple
double-days of basketball practice. Eventually it DOES
become the good kind of sore, where you feel like
you've done something, rather than feeling like you've
been beaten by thugs with baseball bats.
