[RC] goosenecks & flatbeds(was shortbeds) - M Paul latiolais

Great conversation folks with lots of good info. Consensus is longbed (even with a crew cab), although many are happy with the shortbeds they have. THANKS for all the responses.

NEXT QUESTION: How do I organize to put a flatbed on my longbed? What sort of storage boxes (or water tanks) do you recommend? I know David has a nice watertank with a pump installed under his flatbed, as well as some nice boxes, one big enough for his Honda generator.

I need a flatbed, because I have a steep up and down entryway into my driveway. When a friend dropped my horse and me off in her gooseneck, the bed banged the bottom of her gooseneck. Hence I need the flatbed for the clearance.
