[RC] Treatment for hip fracture - Bruce Weary DC

There's an old, little known remedy for the pain of a healing fractured hip in a horse. Take 2 cups of creosote, a half a cup of hydrogen peroxide, a quarter cup of baking soda, one half can of Coca -Cola, and a large green olive. Mix all the ingredients except the olive in a pot (wear a helmet) and cook over low heat for 6-8 hours. When the recipe is done, put the olive in a martini, chug the martini, toss the mixture out the kitchen window, and put the horse on bute. As Susan said, equids do very well on bute for long periods of time. Horses do pretty well on it, too. I'm getting a little tired of giving all this free medical advice. I have more important things to do. Anybody know what time "Deal or No Deal" comes on? Dr Q, world renowned equine chemist
