[RC] [RC] bucking twh/ what you think when coming off a horse? - Nikki McCormack

Ok. I am probably way behind on this thread, but it has been flooding here and I am treating my horse for a hoof abcess, so I have excuses. :)

Anyway, last time I came off my horse (which I try to do once every 9 years - though this statistic has not been fully tested since I have only had him for 10 years) I remember thinking it was going to hurt. I also remember thinking that if I could hold on for one more second I could hit the mud instead of the gravel and that if I held on for two more seconds I would hit the tree instead of the mud. I managed to control the fall enough to hit the mud and realized then that one of the most important things I had learned about working with horses. It is best to not fall off, but if that moment comes, knowing how to fall well is invaluable.

Nikki (and Cody, who has done a really good job of teaching his Mom how to teleport)
