FW: [RC] alfalfa in the winter? - Curtis, Laura \(LauraCurtis\)

Yes, it’s true.  I lived in Colorado at 10,200’ elevation with winter temperatures of 30 below not uncommon, and we fed alfalfa for warmth.  Our horses were kept in a pasture, too—no stalls, and they were extremely healthy, too.

So it is true that if you add some alfalfa to your horse's winter diet, it will help keep them warmer?  . . .
