Re: [RC] LD/50 racing vs none racing times - Truman Prevatt

It really depends. Look at the results for rides like Alabama Yellowhammer and Leatherwood and compare them to River Run and Goethe. What would be a good average time at the first two would be slow as molasses that the second two. So it is almost difficult to come up wiht an "average time" or ideal time across different rides.

Kim, I understand that there are variables. I would like to see what everyone thinks the average is, otherwise, how can there be all this discussion about racing, and what is too fast, too slow etc.... There must be a certain amount of time that is average, otherwise how could you know it was too fast? Maybe the question could be what would an 'average' winning time be that was not racing?

I believe it would be difficult to give an ideal time for a 25 or
a 50 as individual ride terrain, footing, and weather conditions
all come into play for rides measuring the same distance.
Even rides that are run on the same course year after year can
vary in average ride times because of variables like weather or
    footing.
