That sounds like it could work :) I'm not sure a newbie would KNOW what a bargain $40 extra for a mentor is (assuming an $80 entry for the ride). Tweak it a bit - first time rider pays a $10 or $20 premium to get a mentor and AERC picks up the difference? Or... someone else have a thought on this? Do you think that a first-time rider WOULD realize that paying 1 1/2 times the entry fee for a mentor on the trail was a good deal?
