Hello Amy,
It appears that you have done everything right so far. Now comes the hard part, not riding the horse and letting her heal. Keep testing her for lameness and when she seems sound (lets assume 6 weeks from injury date) then you should wait another 6 weeks before starting back to work. Three times on three different horses I have had to use this method after an injury and it healed just fine. Splint 3 months, throughpin 3 months, shoulder 9 months ugh. Good luck.
