[RC] scoliosis-equine assisted phyisical therapy - April Allison

Please contact your local NARHA center. Equine assisted physical therapy is usually very beneficial for scoliosis. But it can only be decided on an individual basis.
Check with the narha center. They can give you a list of doctors who recommend equine therapy. It won't be a rubber stamp to go riding. There are things that make it a bad idea for someone to ride, but.... some doctors do not recognize equine therapy as a valid physical therapy yet. They only have their own experience to go on and that horse his cousins put him on when he was 10yrs old was bad news. hehe. With a trained physical therapist working with good horses (any NARHA center) this child can have a fun, safe experience learning to ride and your medical insurance may help pay for it too.
