RE: [RC] Plural of Y'all - heidi

Hey, now!  When you're from Idaho, anything southeast of Colorado is "the south!" <g>

And I've sure had a lot of southerners (YOUR definition--Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, to name a few) tell me "Y'all come back now, y'hear?" when I've been by myself--at least I didn't THINK anyone else could see that big white rabbit Harvey that always walks beside me....  ;-)  First few times I heard it, I looked around to see who else was leaving the room, and since no one else was, I turned around right smartly and marched on back in to see what the heck they wanted...  <g>

Heidi

Truman, I agree -- Angie is definitely correct (except for the spelling, but
that's forgiveable).  Y'all is *never* singular.  It's always plural...!

And, being a tried and true Texan forever (5th generation) even though I
live in Colorado now (!)...,  I agree, Texas is not part of the south.
Never has been.  As any true Texan will tell you, Texas is not part of
*anything,* it is Texas.   :-o
