Hi -
I've been shopping for a crupper but I'm not sure which is better - neoprene 
or leather? I found this great tack shop in Carthage Missouri and they have 
been so helpful - but they said they felt that leather was better for the 
horse. The neoprene feels softer to me and seems like it would be more 
comfortable, but they said that some horses develop irritation with the 
neoprene when they get sweaty. They have a really nice neoprene crupper for 
$55 and a leather crupper for $35, so it doesn't seem like they would 
recommend leather w/o having a reason. What do you all think? How many use a 
leather crupper and how many use neoprene?
