[RC] WNV titers/vaccinations - GoTory

It's time for spring vaccinations and one of the horses at the barn appeared
to have a reaction to the 'West Nile last fall- some episodes of almost
falling over and catching himself just in time... also some irritability which
was
very unlike him. Seems like the symptoms became less frequent and then passed
in about 2 or 3 weeks. We have had less than a handful of confirmed cases in
the last 2 years in our immediate area but quite a few in our region- northen
central valley of California.

So- had blood drawn for an antibody titer and the vet will likely have the
results in a couple of days, but is having difficulty finding reference levels
for this test- ie: when is a horse still protected vs needing re-vaccination.
UC Davis did not have any numbers for us.......

So- any other ideas? Anyone else had this done in lieu of vaccinating a
horse who *may* have had a reaction? Recommendations from vets and/or those
who
have been dealing with this particular disease prevention would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance! nikki in Paradise/northern CA
