[RC] last minute advice on first 50 - Ed Kilpatrick

patti,   i would try to figure out why you have a little pain in the hip with the bighorn saddle.   what type of stirrups do you use?  do you have stirrup straighteners which will take a bit of the side load off your knees(leg bone connected to the hipbone, etc.)  experiment with your stirrup length a bit.   you would be surprised how much difference a half inch too long or too short can make.
both you and your horse need to be as comfortable as possible.

as for finishing,  take care of your horse and you,  then just keep going until you are done.    thats about all there is to it.   :-)    cowboy ed
