But, on the other side of the coin, I hate trying to figure out what the 
original message was when there is just a reply and no clue what it's 
referencing.  True, it's possible to cut and paste but that's a pain.  I 
often don't start reading a thread until people whose opinions I value 
get involved.  If there are just replies, I haven't a clue what's being 
talked about.
