The local saddle guy who specializes in restoring antique saddles uses

only liquid glycerin on them. He says its gentle and also doesn't

destroy the stitching. It also gives the leather a wonderful feel and

sheen. I've seen many of the saddles he's restored and the leather is

soft and beautiful.
