Several years ago my chestnut gelding developed lots of little white spots
all over him. It happened suddenly, almost overnight. No symptoms of
sickness, but I called my vet. After I described the white spots, he asked
me if I'd just dewormed with Moxydectin (Quest gel), and I had just 2 or 3 days
before !!! He said it was not a sign of an adverse drug reaction, but
he had seen lots of horses get white spots after using this product. Only
one of my three horses did this. I switched to Zimectrin Gold.
The white spots finally went away (after 6 or 8 months) and haven't been
back since. Ask your vets if they too have seen this happen with
Moxydectin use.
