Re: [RC] OT-Big win for horses in the House! - Barbara McCrary

Agreed, there has been great progress in pet population control. And societal pressure has helped.
Our neutered dogs have much better temperament and behavior than non-neuters and our spayed cat is mercifully free of being burdened with 2-3 litters a year. And we don't have to deal with roaming tomcats, which can be pretty disgusting.

Also the United States has over the past twenty years or so made a HUGE push
to control the number of unwanted animals. Spaying and neutering is very,
very common among cats and dogs -- to the point that people who don't choose
to spay and neuter are criticized and pressured to do so.

Have they fixed the problem? No, but there have been changes and
improvements. Lots of them.
