[RC] Race fees and vetting - Enduroride

While the vet is paid to vet the ride, he is not being paid to treat your horse. All treatments are to be paid for by the rider. Sometimes this is stated in the ride flyers. A vet who doesn't charge for his services is just being exceptionally giving. The same with the ride farrier, if you lose a shoe during the ride, you are responsible for paying to have the shoe replaced. (labor and shoe). Connie Caudill
