[RC] Hocks - Barb Peck

You're describing " throroughpin " which is swelling of the tendon sheath..
It's a condition more related to conformation, especially if they're base
narrow behind.

Watch your horse walk from behind- if he's base narrow, the hock will sort of
look like it bows outward
as he walks-

My Vet always said not to worry about it- anf the horse that had this condition
never did more than 25 miles.
It always went away in the winter- and always came back- no matter how easy I
brought him along.
