Re: [RC] tights vs. breeches - Karen Sullivan

I would not, personally, want to distance ride in breeches...most I have seen have fairly unstrechable waistlines with belt loops and zippers....and breeches are also often short (end mid calf)....so that you can wear tall boots....can have deerskin or suede knee patches or full seat....

Tights, on the other hand, are more stretchy all over...stretchy, comfortable elastic waistbands...(can pull down quickly to pee on trail!)....go to bottom of ankle, someitmes with foot arch elastic to keep from riding up...and, in the case of my favorites, Carousel tights, have lightly padded knees and seat.  Also, often no inner seams....

These are all generalization, of course.

Subject: [RC] tights vs. breeches

I have a quick question for everyone: what's the difference between riding breeches and tights?  I've only rode in breeches so I'm clueless.  Also is one better than the other? Once again thanks
