That's not always the case, Mike.  Sometimes it is a matter of "use it or lose it," and not being able to "use it" without some control of the inflamatory process.
 
I agree that one needs to exercise good judgment when one has inflamatory processes going on and lessens the problem with medications--but in the overall scheme of one's health, it is often far preferable to keep moving with some help than to quit entirely and succumb to the various diseases of sedentary life.
