My Rosie would be to differ on the roached mane as a fashion statement. But
I also want her to have the fly protection and all the other stuff manes do
for horses when she is NOT at a ride ;-)

I've been reading about this mane braiding. It sound like a 
lot of work. Now if you want them to be cooler, keep it out 
of your reins, and not worry about hang ups. Just do what I 
do with Annabelle. Grab them clippers and roach it right off. 
Quick and easy, and is sure make her look pretty.
