[RC] 100 miler - Randy or Cheryl Winter

Why do people get so caught up about what other people want, can or need to
do for their horses to have fun in a sport that is in reality a small part
of life. We do this for fun and personal challenges. There are so many more
issues to discuss that this seems so petty. Just because people have been
in the sport for a long time does not always mean they are more
knowledgeable. Experience comes by doing, and at whatever level one can do
it at. Some of our top riders now whether AERC or FEI are relatively new
compared to others and know plenty about the sport and are fast learners. It
just how much one wants to immerse themselves into it. Let's move on to
discussions that help us all develop better horses, by sharing ideas about
training, nutrition, strategies etc. That would go a lot further towards
helping out the newer people coming onto RC looking for help rather than
bickering. Yes 100's are a great goal, and I have ridden my share, but that
needs to be up to the rider if they can or WANT to ride them.

Cheryl
