Yes, Nikki, I was joking! But you do make a very good point. Maybe all riders carrying the extra weight isn't that bad a idea. But instead of putting dead weight on the saddles, the light riders could wear lead suits. This would act like live weight as it would under the riders control and cause no disadvantage.

Plus, a bonus safely factor. The rider would be protected by the lead suit if the ride went through a radioactive area. It might be a bad thing though if the rider fell off at a water crossing.
