I've got one like that that lives in the trailer. 

 

Actually, I didn't send in either of my crashed ones to collect on the warranty, either--they are doing the rounds as a promotional tool here locally.  They've been to all the feed stores and to a few 4-H leaders, and to my local MD who is a rider who only used to wear a helmet when he jumped, but who was convinced by mine that he should wear one every time he gets on a horse.  The one that got clouted by a hoof is particularly spectacular for show and tell....

Last time I checked the manufacturers replacement after a fall only extended
5 years.  After that you needed a new helmet.  We save our old ones and
stash them in various places (campers, trailers, tack rooms) we then can use
them for forgotten ones etc.  A couple of times friends "forgot" the helmets
we had convinced them to purchase.  We brought out a spare.  Since the
spares are not new and pretty, they remembered their helmets the next time.
