Carla, here in MI we live on sand.  I feed our horses once a month 2 or 3 times in a row, 1/4 cup of WalMart metamucil.  So far so good.  It is way cheaper than Sand Clear and they scarf down the orange taste.  Jeanie
I have been doing a cup a day for seven days, once a month. Recently checked their manure, no sand could I see once it was soaked. Have not done the Equate recently. I have never seen any sand drop from their soaked manure. Have others tested this way to see if there is sand in the gut? Thanks, Beccy
