==========================================

I can't speak for anyone else but I found at the first 25 I did I was so
concerned for my pony that I neglected me and got dangerously dehydrated. It
was march in OK, and unbelievably 80 degrees. I've been dehydrated before to
the extent of needing IVs so it doesn't take much anymore.

I was basically alone and even though I'd read all sorts of stuff and knew
better I was caught up in my pony. I would recommend to anyone just starting
out, ride with someone who knows and is willing to tell YOU to drink and eat
when your horse does or even more.
