[RC] Solstice Saddles, wide backed horses - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

Yes, I ride in a Solstice. A black, wide, 18". I have since March of '02. I
was riding in a Crosby Olympia II medium before. Love that saddle but too
narrow for both my boyz.

I have a very wide backed stocky arab 14.2 1/2" HH gelding, and 15.3HH QH
gelding.

Once the saddle fitter said
this was the width I needed on the arab to solve my saddles woes, I bought one,
and right
out of the box it fit. It just felt right. Another saddle fitter checked the
fit, and said it was perfect for both of us. Very secure seat, super
comfortable for me, I stick like glue in it also.
Very nice quality on the saddle too. Can't rope a cow (no horn) but could cut
cattle in it, and I have cow penned in it. Yes, arab, english saddle, cow
penning. Very secure, and balanced saddle.

The saddle also fits my QH. He is a very wide, big dude. Who would have
thought the weanling I bought would grow THAT big. QH is now a coming 5 yr old.

I use either a thin cotton pad, or a woolbak pad. Never any extra pads.
Never. It would distort the fit of the saddle.

Happy Trails,
Laura T
