Yes, that IS the real question. 4 in the NW this year - 1 in the SW - ... maybe 
we're talking about incentives from the wrong POV. Maybe incentives to RMs to 
sanction 100s is really more important. I know that doing FEI 100s is a (RM) 
pain in the neck as compared to AERC 100s. (+ we can easily loose 2-3x as much 
putting an FEI event on:)

Looking at it from the RM perspective, what are the things that matter? Some 
would say the $s (but then why bother with FEI:) - some would say the joy of 
sharing their trails with others (that's steph's prime motivator it seems:) - 
some would say helping the national (FEI) teams (which alone, makes it more of 
an exclusive thing) - 

but focusing on the RM side of the coin might shed light on the question. Any 
of you RMs out there that used to put on a 100 but have quit??
