RE: [RC] (RC] Commute - Hybrid Vehicles - Adrienne YoungbloodI think the MOST important thing about hybrid cars is that they have lower emissions than straight gasoline cars, putting less C02 into our already seriously handicapped ozone. (causing global warming) This is our reason for having a Toyota Hybrid Highlander SUV (35-40 mpg) which we love. As well we run bio-diesel in the truck, again putting out 10 - 15% of the emissions of gas and regular diesel. Saving money on Mileage is great, but just a perk when it comes to the BIG picture. We DO need a planet to ride on ;)...Just 2 cents from the proverbial lurkers corner.
